Open-sourced blueprints for civilization

Hey, how would you tackle the tacky issue of farming if you were to travel back in time? The thing is that most of us live in cities now and we've never grown our own food.

Now at least we'll know where to get the equipment. Marcin Jakubowski, of Open Source Ecology, has released the blueprints for 50 farm machines (open source!) and as stated on his TED profile, he is just starting out.

The release of the blueprints is "the first step in a project to write an instruction set for an entire self-sustaining village." The machines are designed to be built by individuals and small groups.

Here is Jakubowski, talking about his project:

Fellow time travellers! We need to get our hands on those blueprints!

You can get them from their website
